with the purpose of providing knowledge to the members

Objects Of Society
The object of the society is to provide knowledge to the members in the field of
Audit, Income Tax, Service Tax and Fema etc. This is achieved through seminar,
lecture meetings, study circle meetings and RRC.
At present society has around 900 members as below :
  • Life members               619
  • Ordinary members       229
  • Honorary members       48
The society is carrying on various activities in the interest of members, some of which are noted below :
  • Publishing a monthly journal
  • Study Circle meetings
  • Coordinated with Income Tax Department – Pune to give latest jurisdictions, area, telephone numbers of the officers in Pune District
  • Publication of various circulars in the Journal of PCAS
  • Public meeting on budget
  • Publication of a handy note on Union Budget.
  • Organizing a cricket match between CA- 11 and Income Tax -11. This activity is carried on for last few years regularly and is being appreciated by every one.
  • R T Doshi best article award for article in PCAS Journal. This encourages many members to write in the journal. The winner is decided by an independent panel of judges.
  • Arranging cricket match between CA students and members
  • RRC – The society has arranged 4 RRC in the past. However due to CPE credit the activity could not be continued further.
  • Arranged lectures for the members and their family on health. Eminent faculties like Dr. D V Sardesai – Cardiologist and Dr. Sharangpani – eminent Yoga teacher were invited.
  • In association with BCAS, arranged 3 day seminar on International Taxation.
  • Arranged a program for CPT students with the technical support from BCAS. Few faculties were provided by BCAS and other from Pune members
